Google API 26, MIT AI2 release (nb170) & AppToMarket

Thank you Anke for testing and your feedback that it works!

Go to your AppToMArket folder and locate files
apktool.jar and apktool_2.1.1.jar

Rename them to
apktool-org.jar and apktool_2.1.1-org.jar

Download the latest version of apktool.jar file to the same folder as your old files https://bitbucket.org/iBotPeaches/apktool/downloads/apktool_2.4.1.jar

Make a copy of the downloaded file (same folder)

Name one file to apktool.jar and the other one to apktool_2.1.1.jar

Start AppToMarket, select your file and try to Decompile
if it doesn’t work on the first attempt, press Update Manifest and again Decompile

Important!
Edit manifest, remove  android:theme=”@android:style/Theme” or android:theme=”@android:style/Theme.NoTitleBar” or  android:theme=”@android:style/Theme.NoTitleBar.Fullscreen” before creating New.apk.

Important!
If you are using Screen Sizing Fixed then you should also remove this <supports-screens android:resizeable="false" android:smallScreens="true" android:normalScreens="true" android:largeScreens="true"  android:xlargeScreens="true" android:anyDensity="true" />.

Important!
Since we have updated the files, it will create a new folder/path for 1.apk file C:\Users\xxxx\AppData\Local\apktool\framework, If this folder is not created automatically, you will need to do it manually then.

MIT AI2 release (nb164) & AppToMarket

MIT introduced Themes in their latest release and because of that AppToMarket does not work properly, but don’t worry there is a fix for it…

Edit Manifest, just remove this android:theme="@android:style/Theme" and then build your Apk…

Controlling Screens with Themes

android:theme="@android:style/Theme.Dialog"

Guidelines since MIT AI2 release (nb144)

Release nb144 (June 30, 2015)
Since
MIT introduced the Show Status Bar, Title Visible we are not able to control this through themes if they are unchecked, thereof we have to have them always checked.

  • Show Status Bar – Checked
  • Title Visible – Checked

This applies to all screens, we will control this with themes instead.

Release nb145 (August 17, 2015)
Sizing, I prefer responsive before fixed as it scales the content in your phone / tablet depending on the density.

  • Fixed – 320px * 480px stretched to fit in your phone / tablet
  • Responsive
